Drunken Kilt Ridicule FAIL
A note to those men who are not only too insecure to wear the kilt, but are so insecure in their own masculinity that they would ridicule those of us who have abandoned trouser tyranny… If you are too drunk to speak, its best to keep your fat mouth shut!
Last night, around midnight, my wife and I were walking through downtown Santa Fe, past a number of bars. Of course most people, us included, had been drinking a bit. One jerk of a guy, I suppose, couldn’t hold his liquor and yelled out, loudly, slurred and in a very sarcastic tone - “Hey Dude! Nice SHIRT!”. Oops. Fail! His friends then razzed him over it.
Long have men been subject to the poor and limited choices offered by the Trouser Tyrants. Pants are dead! Long Live the Kilt!

Funny how that works out. I’m a season ticket holder for the arena football team up in Philly. During the off-season I started wearing kilts, so I made sure to add a black Utilikilt to my (growing) collection to wear to the games. On opening day one of the security guards at the turnstile said with a smirk, “Nice skirt.” The chorus of “Wooo… sex-say!” from the six Hooters girls passing out programs behind him, and the look on his face as a result, was all the reply I needed. By week six or so, I was being greeted with, “Hey! Kiltman’s here.”
Sooner or later, man. Sooner or later.

My bf has a kilt too. For the moment we´re living in Oslo, Norway, which makes our nights out sometimes pleasant and sometimes on the edge of me attacking people if they dont shut up.
Most of the time people just comment that it´s cool, but the later it gets the more often you hear “Im gonna check if i has something under there or not” and “Hey, nice skirt” Some people even get agressive about his looks and want to put up a fight, but of course most of em are really drunk so een IF they try to fight they mostly lose before it started.
